In order to maximise use of the premises the Centre is available to user groups six days per week, the Sunday being reserved for Church activities.
Regular activities in the Centre are as follows:
Monday
Toddlers & Others meet every Monday morning during school term time from 10.30 to 12.00. All pre-school children are welcome to attend accompanied by a parent or other carer. The children enjoy the chance to play together in our multi-purpose hall while the adults make the most of the opportunity to socialise with each other. The cost of attendance is £1 per family. The attendance fees are used to supply refreshments, provide a Christmas party with presents from Santa and then to pay the general running costs of the group.
Clooney Crafters Club meet on Monday evenings (during term time) at 7pm. From the end of September 2010 we will be making a different quilting block each week as we assemble our sampler quilt. New members are always welcome and can participate in the taught session or bring along their own projects.
Tuesday
The Luncheon Club meet on Tuesday at lunchtime from September to May to enjoy a reasonably priced, home cooked meal and a time of fellowship and friendly banter. The club is well attended by the young-at-heart from the surrounding area and beyond. New members are always welcome - phone our office on (028)7134 8531 if you need transport and we will try to arrange this for you.
Wednesday
Our Support Group for people living with cancer is temporarily closed until further notice.
Thursday
The Girls' Brigade meet on Thursday evenings from September to May. Explorers meet at 6.30 and the Company Section at 7.30. The Brigade is well attended by girls from all areas of the Waterside and new members (aged 3+) are very welcome.
